Grilled Fruit Sangria

Grilled fruit over open fire

Grilling fruit caramelizes the natural sugars and brings out deep, rich flavors.

Step-By-Step

  1. Grill slices of green apple, lemons, limes, and oranges. Just a minute or two on each side.
  2. Mix Rosé and a dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio in a pitcher with fresh mint.
  3. Pour over glasses of ice and grilled fruit slices. Garnish with berries and a sprig of rosemary.

Fruits that grill well for Sangria: citrus, apple, peaches, cantaloupe, watermelon, mango, pineapple, and strawberries.

Garnishes: berries, mint, basil, rosemary, lemon, and orange twists.
